CANTU EXTRA HOLD EDGE STAY GEL REVIEW

I remember when Cantu products were first introduced to the market, and YouTubers were so crazy about them. It was all over the Internet. Almost every YouTube influencer was talking about it. It felt like if you weren't using CANTU products, you weren't using one of the best hair products on the market, and I applaud YouTube bloggers for helping this brand stand out and become one of the most popular hair care and styling brand. They have expanded and made new products, but are their products worth the hype?

Please note that I used a soft brush in the above picture; a tightly bristled brush is recommended for better effect.

I wanted to purchase Cantu products a long time ago, but I felt they were on the expensive side price-wise and ended up never purchasing them, even though another factor was that products for all hair types weren’t sold in Ukraine. We had to buy them from small business vendors who ordered these products to Ukraine for students and sold them at higher prices. The only time I got to use Cantu products was when my friends got them, and I tried the leave-in conditioner, which was good.

I purchased Cantu Shea Butter for Natural Hair Extra Hold Edge Stay Gel 64g, which means that it's supposed to hold your hair in place for a long time, but does it work as described?

How can I use the Cantu Shea Butter Extra Hold Edge Stay Gel more effectively?

1. A quantity check is important when using this gel, as applying too much won't give you the best results, in my opinion.

2. If you must use other products on your hair, wait for them to dry before applying this gel.

3. Because it is so thick, this product should only be used on your edges; applying it all over your hair will give your hair a subtle whitish-dry look.

4. For the best results, use this gel when your hair is damp or spray water on your edges before applying it.

5. You can apply this gel using your fingertips or a tightly bristled brush.

It keeps your edges in place for a long time. The longest I have gone with the gel is from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.

It comes in a 64-gram plastic container with an orange cover.

What is this gel made of?

Cons/pros

According to the brand, it conditions and smooths for shiny, sleek styles with a long-lasting flake-free effect, but in my opinion, if you use this gel together with other products, it's going to cause flake formation. It didn't condition my hair, but it smoothed, gave the shiny effect, and held the hair in place. I used it on my wig, and it was so lovely and held the edges in place, so this product doesn't only work for your natural hair but can be used on good-quality wigs.

Note: The use of very dry, textured gels on a regular or consistent basis can cause hair breakage.

I purchased this product from Boots Uk or click to buy from below. This is an affiliate link and can generate profit when clicked.

Have you used this product before, or what hair gel do you use?
