One hat style that's totally trending lately is the cowboy hat! When I wore this hat, all I could think of was Beyoncé’s “This Ain’t Texas” song. I caught the cowboy bug and now I really want a pair of cowboy boots! I’ve always loved the cowboy style, and starting with a hat was a perfect first step.
It’s been ages since I wore denim on denim, and what better way to spend my day off than in skinny jeans by the seaside?
Denim on denim can have such a fun twist, especially when you’re rocking it by the seaside. The Western look can be tailored to your personal style. There are no rules to getting it right. Western-inspired wardrobes are super comfortable and suit everyone.
If you're curious about how to rock a cowboy hat, you've come to the right place. I’ve been obsessed with this new trend, and there's no sign of it slowing down.
Cowboy fashion is all about comfort and versatility, and the best part is there are no strict rules. Whether you go for a full-on fringe look or just a hint of Western charm, you’re sure to make a stylish statement. So grab your cowboy hat, maybe those boots, and embrace the trend with confidence!
It does not matter if you’re a hardcore fan of Western style or just want to add some personality to your wardrobe, mastering the art of wearing a cowboy hat can elevate your fashion game. When Queen Bee herself, Beyoncé, wears it, you know it’s gotta be good.
The classic cowboy look has been a staple in American fashion for over a century.
Even though I may not be in Texas but in Scotland, cowboy boots and hats are definitely for everyone to style. They are such a fun and versatile accessory to pair with any denim jeans. One of the highlights about jeans is that they pair seamlessly with any shoes, including cowboy boots. To create a cowboy look that feels more 2024, you need to be versatile and creative with your style.
Cowboy boots and hats
The fun side of pairing cowboy boots and hats with denim jeans is that they suit a wide range of styles.
The fun side of pairing cowboy boots and hats with denim jeans is that they suit a wide range of styles.
The simplest way to achieve a cowboy look is to add a cowboy hat or boots, or both. All things denim is really on-trend right now. Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter era has made it even more popular, and I am loving it!
Jeans
One of the most iconic combinations is western boots with denim. You’re not ready without a pair of blue jeans! This classic look exudes effortless cool and works well with both traditional cowboy boots and more contemporary styles. Jeans and cowboy boots are a match made in heaven. There are endless ways to wear them, no matter what your style is.
Tuck your favorite denim top into skinny jeans or denim shorts for a timeless Western look. When it comes to color, you can choose between a dark or light wash, depending on what you’re pairing it with. Darker washes help your other pieces pop more, while a lighter wash gives off a softer, brighter look.
You also want to find a pant shape that suits you. If you want a pair that hugs you a little more, try skinnier jeans. They’re perfect for creating a sleek, stylish silhouette.
I really enjoyed creating this Western-inspired look. My black cowboy hat is a find from the Salvation Army, my jeans are from Lwc Ukraine, and my Long Sleeve Puff Bow-Embellished Buttoned Split High Neck Blouse is from Uoozee fashion. You can get up to 15% off by using the discount code: melody right now on Uoozee online store.

DeleteI had an Australian Acubra and gave it to my Mom. No idea where this hat ended up...
ReplyDeleteAh, the elusive Acubra! Hats have a way of finding new adventures, don’t they? It’s cool that you passed it along to your mom. Maybe it’s off having its own journey. Lol. Thank you for stopping by.

Delete...there's a saying, big hat and no cattle!
ReplyDeleteThe phrase ‘big hat and no cattle’ typically implies a lack of substance behind an impressive appearance. However, in this context, I’m simply sharing my personal style and enjoying fashion. I’d appreciate it if comments could stay positive and respectful, focusing on the creativity and joy of the content. Let’s keep the discussion supportive and encouraging. Thanks for understanding!
DeleteAnother great outfit indeed!
ReplyDeleteThe hat is what takes off the style!!
Absolutely, the hat really does make the outfit pop! It’s like the cherry on top of the fashion sundae. Thank you.
DeleteHi Melody!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos. I like the cowboy style too :) A cowboy hat hangs on the wall in my room :) Also speaking of jeans, I just bought myself a new navy blue pair on Monday.
Melody, I send you warm greetings from hot Poland!

ReplyDeleteThis double denim on denim look is fabulous.
The cowboy hat is fantastic, too!
I like your photography and location.
When I lived in our western state of Kansas back in the 1970's, we had a store called Sheplers that sold all kinds of Western wear. Western hats and boots, I think, have never lost popularity in the American West. When I lived in Texas, also in the 1970's, hats, boots and denim jeans were also popular, but not just as fashion statements. Alas, Sheplers was acquired by a large company in 2015 and rebranded. It exists online but the store has the parent's name now.
ReplyDeleteI liked your look, and you looked like you were having so much fun in your photo shoot. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com

ReplyDeleteThe shirt and hat that you are wearing is the photos on this post looks really good. I am sure it's comfortable to wear. I enjoyed in Scotland years ago with my husband when we were in England. We were on a RAF base as we were both in the US Air Force for 2 years in that spot we were at. We liked going to museums and castles. Thanks for the comment you wrote on my blog today. I hope you come back and read another one again soon. I enjoy reading your blog as well. Have a good day!!===Becky
