Amazing GuidingCross Testimony: Hoodie Sparks Bold Faith and Hope

Melody Jacob wearing the Psalm 23 Christian Fleece Hoodie Set by GuidingCross

Yesterday was a very lovely and relaxing Saturday. We visited Pollok Country Park to see the Highland cows. We had a nice time walking around the park as part of our exercise for the day. Honestly, I had a really good time, and the sun was shining—that was one of the best parts of the day.

While walking in the park, wearing our hoodie sets from Guidingcross, some people smiled at us. We smiled back, because why not? A good smile is a simple way to say hi and just keep moving.

One woman, however, stood out during the last part of our walk. She smiled at us much longer than the others and kept smiling, so I smiled back. Honestly, I thought she was smiling at me because of my beauty—and I don’t mean that in a proud way. People often walk up to me and say, “You’re beautiful,” in such a heartfelt manner. So I smiled back, happy as always and appreciative.

But a few seconds later, while we were reading a poster board in the park, she came back to us and said, “I just want to say I am so happy to see two people wearing a hoodie that promotes Christianity.” She went on to say, “Here in Scotland, people are not bold enough to talk about Christianity, and I’m so happy to see you two wearing something that speaks about it. Thank you so much.” Then she walked away.

It was at that moment my thoughts reset. I began to realize that maybe the others had also been smiling at us because of the words on our hoodie sets—because they carry messages from the Holy Bible.

Honestly, I don’t hear about Christianity much on the streets of Scotland. Mostly, I hear about it when I go to church. Outside my church community, it feels like the topic of Christianity is a silent one.

I then realized that wearing this hoodie might have spoken to someone today.

In all we do as Christians, please do not forget to preach to people in this sinful world. Tell someone about Jesus.

People have looked at me strangely when I’ve given out tracts to invite them to church—but that doesn’t discourage me, and it shouldn’t discourage you either.

All over the internet, clothing brands are promoting nakedness. So many are lost, seeking validation, posting naked photos for attention—because deep down, they’re broken and don’t know where to turn. But when they encounter Jesus, everything changes. They feel fulfilled, because the Word of God fills the emptiness. No more need for worldly validation. God’s love is enough.

In a time like this, when so many are dealing with pain linked to mental health, let us not forget:
“Cast your burdens on Him, for He cares for you.”

God has the answers. He uses man to bless and reach out to man. He blesses us in different ways. So never lose your faith to fit in or blend in. Carry your Bible—it is your watchword.

God is real. Heaven is real.

Don’t let anyone make you look back. You can still enjoy this life while living a Christian life. Jesus is Lord—He paid the debt already. No need to blend in with the world.

People may laugh at you. They may call you boring. But remember: in the end, only true believers shall be raptured.

I’ve been blogging about different things, and if I don’t tell you about Jesus, then I don’t love you enough.

So today, I want to tell you—Jesus is the Saviour of the world. He is coming again. Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.

Don’t put anything above your salvation. Don’t let anyone make you feel “boring” for choosing eternal life.

The Bible is the living Word of God. If you read it, you’ll see—we are truly in the last days.

Please take your spiritual life seriously. If you think you’ve seen pain, read the Bible. You’ll find that there is no greater pain than missing heaven.

It is appointed unto man once to die, and after that, the judgment. How do you want to spend your eternity?

Don’t let “wokeness” take you away from the things of God. Don’t let colleagues at work lead you astray.
It is better to walk alone with God than to be in the wrong crowd.

I pray this post serves as a reminder—a fuel—to always be bold about your faith.

Matthew 10:33 – “But whoever denies Me before men, I also will deny before My Father who is in heaven.”

Don’t let your friends lead you down the wrong path. I love you. And when all is said and done, may we be able to see each other in heaven and smile, saying, “Yes, we made it.” But don’t forget—while we’re still here, we must spread the gospel of Christ.

If you want to be part of spreading the Word of God with what you wear, you can check out GuidingCross.

I’m wearing the Psalm 23 Christian Fleece Hoodie Set in light grey, and my partner is wearing the Made To Worship Christian Fleece Hoodie Set, Psalm 150:1-6. Use code Mel25 for 25% off.

I was so happy about our encounter yesterday—walking around in my Psalm 23 hoodie. Because yes, The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.

Jesus is Lord.

  2. It’s amazing how something as simple as a hoodie can spark real connection and spread the Word. Love how God used that encounter to remind you (and us) to stay bold in our faith. Keep shining and repping Jesus with love! ✨🙏

    1. You are right; sometimes I forget to tell people about Jesus, just maybe really due to where I am presently, but that is not an excuse. I am happy that happened at the park. Thank you, Veronica.

  6. Creo que muestres tu fe en la vestimenta no es motivo para que se rían, Cada persona muestra sus sentimientos religiosos de una manera y en este caso lo hacéis en vuestra ropa.

    Saludos.

  9. Melody, you wrote a great article!!!
I'm not ashamed to admit that I believe in the Lord God! I'm a practicing Catholic.
Unfortunately, in Poland fewer and fewer people go to church, more and more celebrities loudly boast that they “unsubscribed” from the Church, more and more people don't want to baptize their children :( More and more children and young people don't go to religious lessons in schools.
Unfortunately, but the current government is fighting against the Church, they don't want religion lessons to be in school, they want to reduce the number of hours of religion in schools.
In Poland, the person of Pope John Paul II is discredited too.

    1. We should never be ashamed. Nobody can fight against God and stand, so do not be worried; these are signs of the end times, but the church will always stand and the gospel of Christ will reach every part of the world.

  11. It is sad that there are so many people who are too self conscious to wear something that shows their faith or too afraid to show their faith as it can be dangerous in some countries to do so .

    1. I know, right? the pressure of wanting to fit in is what is leading most people in the wrong direction. Matthew 10:33—“But“ whoever denies Me before men, I also will deny before My Father who is in heaven.

  12. Great idea! Umbrellas are old fashioned and inconvenient to carry around. But hoodies are out of the way most of the time... and easily pulled up when the showers start.

It’s lovely that people often express their admiration for your beauty—it seems like you radiate positivity and kindness. It’s wonderful how something as simple as a smile can brighten both your day and someone else's. 🌟

  18. I speak about my faith and how it sustains me. I want my actions to demonstrate the love of Christ. Actions speak louder than words. I appreciate your approach. It works for you, and I’m glad people were receptive. I can tell them about Jesus, but I’ve found if I don’t model it my words mean nothing. If I’m asked I will gladly tell them. I plant seeds. He sows them. Keep proclaiming the love of Christ. It is needed. May He bless your efforts and you yourself.

  27. Oh my, sometimes I find a post that just lifts my spirits and yours did! I love your clothing. I also have a daily quest to find ways to spread HIS Good News! I blog, make digital signposts that point the way, tweet and blog these signs. I also make pressed flower greeting cards with Bible verses on the back and leave them in random places, library free book tables, so that they can perhaps speak to someone's heart. I also paint seashells and try to have a verse notation on the back along with a God bless you. I try to have a word of faith on these shells. I then leave these seashells in public places for others to find. God bless you. Don't be discouraged about Scotland. Great preachers have come from your country. I live in the USA.

  31. That is great that you are spreading the word with your clothing. I really love this post and your boldness. In America we keep hearing stories of people arrested in the UK and Ireland for silently praying or putting something on social media that's against government, so I think Christians are becoming fearful of displaying their Christianity.
