Bright Chimezie, who was born on October 1, 1960 and is married to Chinyere Chimezie, is a musician from Abia State, Nigeria. His musical style was dubbed the Zigima Sound. In the early 1980s, this genre gained popularity in the eastern portion of Nigeria. It is a combination of traditional Nigerian music, Igbo highlife, and chanted vocals.
